As a community builder I consider myself a cultural organizer, which I describe as someone who organizes community to create culture and creates culture to organize community.

Most of this work is enacted through the Institute for Improvisation and Social Action (ImprovISA) an organization I co-founded and direct. ImprovISA supports people to develop through improvisation and performance while advocating for a developmental, reconnecting and healing approach to social action.

PCE

I am also a founding member of Performing Communities de Esperanza (PCE), a bilingual and multicultural coalition in la frontera. We are an interdisciplinary group of artists, teachers, therapists and activists who promote human development through play, performance and social therapeutics.
