a dance concert reflecting on immigration
in-between is an evening-length dance piece drawn from interviews, stories and conversations about immigration. Living in a border town in an immigrant nation, we recognize that our reasons for immigrating are many and our experiences vary greatly. Nonetheless, due to the porosity of the borders in our lives, most of us can agree that as immigrants we are always in-between: in-between countries, in-between cultures, in-between languages. In a collage of movement, sound and video, in-between reflects the cast's personal and shared stories about immigration and presents them as a creative response to disrupt and recreate our current dialogue on the topic.
